How Hyperplant handles your data

Hyperplant is an iOS app for plant identification, plant records, care notes, and sync. This policy describes the information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about privacy questions.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Hyperplant, the app may process:

• Account and sign-in information needed to create and maintain your account.
• Plant records, care notes, reminders, and related app content you choose to save.
• Plant photos you upload or use for identification.
• Basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and debug the service.
• Messages you send to support, including your email address and issue details.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide plant identification and plant care features.
• Save and sync your plant records across supported devices.
• Operate, protect, and improve Hyperplant.
• Respond to support requests and privacy requests.

Photos and plant identification

When you request plant identification, the photo you submit may be sent to PlantNet so Hyperplant can return likely plant matches and related plant information.

Hyperplant may also use Perenual to retrieve species search results or plant details. These providers process the information needed to return the requested feature.

Storage and sync

Hyperplant stores the information needed to keep your account, plant records, photos, care notes, reminders, and sync state available in the app. We keep this information while your account is active or as long as needed for security, legal, or operational reasons.

To request deletion of your account or app data, contact us at support@hyperplant.app.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate Hyperplant, such as authentication, hosting, storage, plant identification, support, and security providers.

Your choices

You can contact us to ask questions, request access, request correction, or request deletion of information associated with your account. Some information may need to be retained when required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Children

Hyperplant is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page will show when the policy was last updated.
